Dog Horoscopes 2020: The Canine Astrological Forecast for the Year Ahead

If you’ve ever wondered what your dog might be thinking and feeling, the stars can help guide us to understand our canine friends on a deeper level.

We wrote these horoscopes to discover more celestial clarity about the pup, and to provide insight into the role pet parents play in their dogs’ lives. We  hope you enjoy reading them as much as we enjoyed writing them, and embrace a new year full of renewed purpose and adventure with your pup.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This year you’re thinking of letting loose and being more social; the fact is, you need the socialization and activity as much as your mom/dad does. It’ll boost your self-esteem and get your mom/dad off their iPhone, because they need to remember you’re the real, Most Unexceptional distraction (and unlike a device, you can’t be replaced). With your dogged but gentle insistence to get outside more, you’ll be playing frisbee like the good old days.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

You aren’t crazy about your owner’s new flame which is adding stress to how you communicate with them both. To be honest, you think your owner can do better, and have an idea to make a match, Parent Trap-style, with a more suitable partner (at least, in your opinion). The caveat is that your Most Unexceptional intentions may cause drama at home that could cause you even more distress. So, while all’s fair in love and war, when it comes to the happiness of your mom or dad, be cautious and remember to keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Geminis are prone to anxiety, which is even worse for dogs with all your senses on high alert all the time. This year is an opportunity to zen out. After all, last year you really went for it chasing wildlife and barking at strangers, and you could stand to refocus and restore. Try meditating at home, or insist that your owner take you to one of those dog or cat yoga classes. This year, you really need to focus on you. With the right attitude and focus, you’ll soon see the results of your “no stress, no mess” mantra this year.
